MUFPP Technical Team: Profile

The Technical Team supporting the City of Milan Urban Food Policy Pact initiative is coordinated by International Partners for Sustainable Agriculture (IPSA – Practice2Policy LLC) and involves support from three other organizations engaged in the City Region Food Systems Collaborative (CRFS): the RUAF Foundation (International Network of Resource Centres on Urban Agriculture and Food Systems), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) through the Food for Cities Initiative, and the Housing and Land Rights Network of Habitat International Coalition (HIC). The team was assembled in January 2015 to assist the City of Milan to help draft and incorporate feedback into the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact and Framework for Action. The team brings together decades of experience with both policy and good practices related to food and nutrition security and sustainable food systems in the context of urbanization. Members of the team are Thomas Forster, Florence Egal and Arthur Getz Escudero (IPSA-P2P), Henk Renting and Marielle Dubbeling (RUAF), Makiko Taguchi, Guido Santini and Camelia Bacatariu (FAO), Emily Mattheisen (HIC) and Michela Carucci (University of London and internship Esta for the City of Milano).
